3D Printing Builds Film SLR Camera

With the seemingly inevitable death of new film products a growing concern for the remaining life span for this ageless art medium continues.

Now with the introduction of a new technology and the slowly growing adaptation of it comes an intriguing development. Thanks to Léo Marius’ OpenReflex 3D camera plans you can now print your very own film camera for around $30 worth of parts. This price of course not including film or the ridiculous cost of a 3D printer.

Because of the currently rare access to 3D printers Marius has mentioned that he’d consider providing a batch of these cameras if the interest was great enough.

If you just so happen to have access to such a printer then you might wish to visit the below link where you can find the prints and instructions.
